When all the outlines have been made to all gores measure over the spaces on the top of each gore, Now suppose this will amount to 26 inches in half of the skirt. Then measure the size of the form that you are cutting this skirt for about 6 inches up from the waist. For size 36 this measure will amount to 36 inches or 18 inches, which is half of this. Be careful to keep in mind that you only have halfof the skirt and therefore take half of the measurement that you have measured on the figure. Suppose your measurement is 36 inches take half of it. which is 18 inches and then take off 18 inches from 26 inches which the skirt measures on top or 6 inches above the waist. See that the over.built amount between 18 and 26 is 8 inches. These 8 inches are equally divided on both sides to all gores at E and G. At the front only take off the inside part at G. Now curve all these spaces lost down to the waist and allow seams all the way down both sides of every gore except the front. For the front only allow the seam at the inside part from G and D to C. For the inside gores allow the seams on both sides of E, A. F. B and G. I) to C. For a pleat in back on this skirt allow from D, which is the waist line down to the bottom at C.
